Edinburgh Weekend : A visit to the historic Scottish capital.

The Journey: Following the success of previous weekends away, to Bruges and Dortmund, the latest excursion saw everyone heading north to Edinburgh. The plan was to arrive late Friday afternoon in time to get settled into the hotel, and then head out for something to eat and drink.

The Weekend: This left Saturday and most of Sunday to explore Edinburgh. With the Castle, Holyrood Palace, the museums, art galleries, and a host of cafes and restaurants to visit (not to mention the shopping), there were no shortage of things to do and see. So after a brief round of resource and time optimisation we all set out to explore the city.

Another Success: Comparing notes back at work on the Monday, everyone agreed it had been a fantastic weekend. So much so that we're all looking forward to a return trip.
